Dr. J.C. Wagner-Romero is a seasoned global and multicultural educator with a proven track record of transforming schools in the United States and Thailand. He joined CISB as the Head of School after serving as a Professor of Global and Multicultural Education at the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to that, Dr. J.C. held several leadership roles, including Vice President of the New Orleans Public School System, a district serving nearly 45,000 incredibly diverse students. He also previously served as a school network chief of staff, interim chief academic officer, executive director of leadership development, and school principal. Additionally, he was the former Deputy Head of School at a British international school in Bangkok.
Dr. J.C. holds an impressive educational background, including a doctorate in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a master’s in teaching and learning from Northeastern University, a bachelor’s in sociology from Northwestern State University, and an associate’s degree in English Literature from Delgado Community College.
